If said players truly want to contribute, make a separate suggestion. The amount of trolls is detrimental and staff must be aware of it. Its better to just block all communication and let admins alone decide what to do with said issue, and if one has something to add, make another suggestion thread.

By encouraging players to create separate suggestion threads, it helps reduce noise from trolls and irrelevant comments, allowing staff to identify and prioritize genuine contributions more effectively. Clear communication ensures that important issues are addressed without distraction, fostering a more organized environment where the admin team can make informed decisions. Additionally, this approach promotes accountability among players, encouraging them to think critically about their suggestions and engage meaningfully with the community. Overall, streamlining discussions enhances the server's development and player experience.

Here are the downsides of forum posts only allowing OP (Original Poster) to comment on their post, instead of others:

*Negative impacts on community engagement:*

1. Reduced discussion and debate: Limiting comments to only OP stifles open discussion and debate.

2. Lack of diverse perspectives: Others may have valuable insights or expertise, but are unable to contribute.

3. Decreased community involvement: Members may feel disconnected and less invested in the community.

*Knowledge sharing and collaboration:*

1. Inhibited knowledge sharing: Others may have relevant information or experiences to share, but are unable.

2. Limited problem-solving: Collective input and brainstorming are hindered.

3. Reduced collaboration: Community members can't work together to build on ideas.

*Transparency and accountability:*

1. Unchallenged opinions: OP's views may go unchallenged, potentially spreading misinformation.

2. Lack of fact-checking: Others can't correct inaccuracies or provide alternative facts.

3. Reduced accountability: OP may not be held accountable for their statements.

*User experience and satisfaction:*

1. Frustration and disappointment: Members may feel silenced or ignored.

2. Decreased user satisfaction: Limited engagement leads to dissatisfaction.

3. Community decline: Members may leave or participate less due to restrictive policies.

*Potential for abuse:*

1. Misinformation spreading: OP can disseminate incorrect information without opposition.

2. Self-promotion: OP may use the platform solely for self-promotion.

3. Manipulation: OP can control the narrative without opposing views.

*Alternative solutions:*

1. Moderation tools and guidelines
2. Community-led discussions
3. Threaded conversations
4. Comment rating systems
5. Trusted community member moderation

By allowing others to comment and contribute, forums can foster:

1. Open discussion
2. Knowledge sharing
3. Collaboration
4. Diversity of perspectives
5. Community growth

However, it's essential to balance open discussion with measures to prevent trolling, spam, and harassment.
